Dea Kamberi

Dea is a sophomore in Lowell House studying Government with a secondary in Environmental Science & Public Policy. She is an Albanian-American born and raised in Worcester, Massachusetts, who loves rainy weather and all things autumn. This will be her 4th conference overall and her very first HMCE! Outside of HMC, Dea is involved with multiple teaching groups, a creative learning lab, a legal advisory group, 2 competitive open-style dance teams, as well as many other advocacy groups on campus. Dea enjoys taking “the long way” during walks, photography, gardening, playing piano, and she is an absolute tea fanatic. She can’t wait to welcome everyone to HMCE 2027!

Ellyce Butuyan

Ellyce is a sophomore living in Lowell House and is studying Government with a secondary in Global Health and Health Policy. Her past Harvard Model Congress experience involves staffing in HMC Boston and Asia, and she now can't wait to staff HMCE for the first time! In her free time, you can find her hunting down her next good read or convincing her friends to go on karaoke excursions.

Riya Sikand

Riya is a junior from New Jersey studying Computer Science and Molecular & Cellular Biology with a secondary in Government. Riya led her high school’s Model Congress Club, participating in HMC Boston as a delegate for all four years in high school! This year, Riya was President of the Senate for HMC Boston and Vice President for HMC San Francisco. Outside of HMC, Riya is a Peer Advising Fellow, a member of the Global Health Student Advisory Council, leads the Harvard Undergraduate Biotechnology Club, and is a part of Harvard Undergraduate Capital Partners. In her free time, Riya enjoys reading, painting, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family (and her dog, Mocha!). Riya is looking forward to welcoming everyone to HMCE 2027!

Teresa Wang

Teresa Wang is a sophomore in Mather studying Economics and Government. She was born in Vancouver but raised in the DC-Baltimore area of Maryland, where she was actively engaged in community service and entrepreneurship. She has loved her experience with HMC, where she’s chaired and mentored across Boston and external affairs programs. Outside of HMC, you can find her making vlogs, training for a marathon, or searching for the next spot to add to her Beli.

Celerina Lee

Celerina Lee is a sophomore in Kirkland House. She is concentrating in Economics and Global Health & Health Policy, on the pre-med track. She's a firm believer in #WestCoastBestCoast, and is proud to call Southern California her home. When she is not preoccupied with classwork, you can find her side-questing throughout Boston and looking for a new restaurant to add to her Beli.

Bannon Price

Bannon Price is a junior at Harvard College in Lowell House studying Economics and Social Studies. He currently serves as Co-President of Harvard Model Congress Boston and has been a board member for HMC Europe and Senior Staffer for HMC Asia and HMC Middle East. After internships at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the U.S. Department of the Treasury, he is interested in international affairs and financial law. Originally from Ashdown, Arkansas, he now spends most of his time outside class running along the Charles or trying new coffee shops in Cambridge.

Caitlin Saxinger

Caitlin is a sophomore in Winthrop House concentrating in government and sociology. She’s originally from Chicago, Illinois, and is excited to be traveling the world with HMCE! This will be Caitlin’s 5th HMC conference, and she is so grateful to be able to continue giving back to the HMC community. When she’s not in class or staffing conferences, you can find Caitlin napping, hitting the gym, or exploring new places to eat.

Shakira Ali

Shakira Ali is a sophomore at Harvard College studying Bioengineering, with interests in biotechnology, consulting, and global health. She has been involved in Harvard Model Congress as both a J-staffer and Senior Staffer for 2 years and enjoys creating committee spaces that feel engaging and accessible to all delegates. Outside of HMC, she is involved in consulting and affinity groups on campus. In her free time, she enjoys baking and experimenting with her own matcha creations, and runs a small dessert business. She also really enjoys playing violin, piano, and dancing to bangla songs!

Nathan Tesler

Nathan is a senior from Hingham, Massachusetts, a seaside town just south of Boston. He is a member of the Class of 2027 at Harvard studying Applied Math and Economics and a resident of Eliot House. He is pursuing a secondary field in Government and a language citation in Spanish. He is very excited to serve as HMCE Senior Staffer this year. Outside of HMC, he DJs for the radio and plays a lot of jazz. During his free time, he enjoys running, exploring new places, jamming with his band, and playing Mario Kart with his roommates.

Layla Kelly

Layla is a sophomore at Harvard studying Government and Economics, originally from Fort Wayne, Indiana, and a proud resident of Lowell House. On campus, Layla serves as President of HMC San Francisco and leads the Women’s Initiative in Leadership at the Institute of Politics. Outside of HMC, she can often be found leading campus tours for the Admissions Office, unwinding with yoga, or exploring Cambridge in search of her next favorite coffee shop. She is so excited to meet all of the incredible delegates in March at her third HMCE!

Husam Ramadan

Husam is a sophomore in Pforzheimer concentrating in Government or Social Studies (he's a very indecisive person) Returning for his second HMCE and fourth HMC conference overall, he couldn't be more excited to be back. Husam is deeply passionate about education and mentorship, and he believes that the right environment can change a student's entire trajectory. When he's not in committee, you can find him on the badminton court, out on a long run, or rewatching Coraline for reasons he will passionately defend to anyone who asks.

Chelsea Bohn-Pozniak

Chelsea is a senior at Harvard originally from South Jersey. She studies Government with a secondary in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Outside of HMC, Chelsea loves singing in musical productions and in her a cappella group, the Harvard Lowkeys. When she’s not rehearsing, you can probably find her on the treadmill binging Criminal Minds.

Henry Pahlow

Henry Pahlow is a junior in Pforzheimer House concentrating in Government. This will be Henry’s sixth HMC conference and his third HMC Europe, having served as both a junior staffer and member of board. Outside of HMC, he is involved in the Institute of Politics, the Harvard Democrats, and sings with his acapella group, the Harvard Callbacks. In his free time, you’ll likely find him logging movies on Letterboxd or listening to the soundtracks of Broadway musicals.

Cameron Reckard

Cameron Reckard is a senior at Harvard College in Quincy House concentrating in Statistics with a secondary in Economics. Originally from the small town of Sheridan, Wyoming, this will be Cameron’s third time at HMCE and his 13th HMC conference in total. He also serves on the board of HMC Boston as the Business Manager. Outside of classes, Cameron loves to get out and explore new places (especially when they have tall buildings in them), as well as spend time with friends playing board games. When not working on homework, you’ll find him planning his next trip or watching his favorite Netflix shows.

Jordan Schwartz

Jordan Schwartz is a senior at Harvard studying Government and Economics. Originally from Ohio but now living in Tucson, Arizona, Jordan is passionate about youth civic engagement and American politics. During his time at Harvard, he has served as the lead researcher on the nation’s oldest and largest survey of young Americans, and led get-out-the-vote efforts on campus for the 2024 elections. Jordan is a senior staffer; this is his third year with HMC. Outside of political work, Jordan can usually be found running or hiking on local trails.

Ava Silva

Ava is a senior living in Adams House and is originally from the small town San Augustine, Texas. She is pursuing a joint degree in Linguistics and Anthropology with a secondary in Women and Gender Studies and a citation in ASL. She is also involved in HMC Middle East, HMC San Francisco, and is currently serving as co-President of HMC Boston. This will be her 12th conference overall and her second HMC Europe. Apart from HMC, you’ll find Ava enjoying a glass of tea, taking a walk by the river, or hanging out with friends. She is very excited to work with everyone!

Simona Letizia

Simona is a senior at Harvard College studying Economics and Social Studies. She has lived abroad for the majority of her life in Italy, Japan, Ghana, the US, Germany, and Singapore. Outside of HMC, Simona can be found at the Institute of Politics, leading a hiking trip, or hanging out with friends. Simona loves playing sports, cooking, thrifting, and finding the best coffee shops. She can’t wait to meet all the delegates at HMCE!

Soyo Tanida

Soyo Tanida is a sophomore at Harvard studying Sociology and Statistics. Born and raised in Japan, she has lived in Iowa and New York for two years each. She has a strong interest in immigration and human rights. Learning language is also her passion, as she aims for both Mandarin and French language citations. Outside of classes, she plays the flute in an orchestra and marching band, plays tennis, and enjoys handcrafting stuffed animals. She loves croissants, and back in Japan, she worked part-time at a local French bakery.

Audrey is a sophomore at Harvard and is originally from San Diego, California. Interested in medicine and health policy, she plans to study biology and economics on the pre-med track. HMCE 2027 would be her 5th HMConference overall! On campus, Audrey is involved with HMC San Francisco, the Institute of Politics, Harvard Consulting on Business and Environment, and Harvard Taiwanese Culture Society. Outside of school, you can find Audrey trying new cafes around Boston or going on walks with friends.

Lara Rahman

Lara Rahman is a junior in Currier House studying Government on the pre-med track. She is a born and raised Hoosier. In addition to staffing HMC Europe, she serves as Vice President for Harvard Model Congress Boston. She is also involved in research and volunteering at Mass General Hospital. She enjoys reading, everything sports-cars related, and being spontaneous.

Avani Shah-Lipman

 Avani Shah-Lipman is a sophomore studying Sociology (tentatively). She is from outside of Philadelphia, and since she was a delegate in high school, this will be her sixth HMC conference! Besides Model Congress, she writes for the Arts and Sports sections of The Harvard Crimson newspaper and is a proud member of the club rock climbing team. You can usually find her playing board games with her friends or concocting a creative meal in the dining hall. She can’t wait to meet everyone at HMCE!

James Miller

James Miller is a first-year at Harvard University concentrating in Social Studies and  Economics. Originally from Ventura County, California, James started staffing HMC conferences after arriving at Harvard and loved it so much that this will be his second one. In high school, James founded his school's speech and debate club and served as a National Director of Debate for Civic Leaders of America. At Harvard, he researches for the Bank of Canada and competes on the Harvard Fed Challenge team. Outside the classroom, James loves getting into hours-long debates about anything and everything, exploring civic conversations, and diving into horror movies. You can also find him trying new restaurants around Boston, hiking with dogs, or unwinding at the piano.

Maggie Leighton

Maggie Leighton is a sophomore studying History of Science with a secondary in Global Health and Health Policy. Originally from Leominster, Massachusetts, and now residing in Winthrop House, Harvard has become an amazing “home away from home” for her, with staffing HMC playing a big part! Outside of HMC, you can find her playing volleyball at the MAC, finding her new favorite café, or having a cozy movie night with friends. This will be her second year staffing with HMC and she could not be more excited for this opportunity!

Yehia Said

Yehia Said is a sophomore in Mather house studying Linguistics and Psychology. He is originally from St. Louis, Missouri, and this will be his second HMC Boston conference. Yehia is passionate about human rights law, history education, and political psychology. Outside of class, you can find him at the rink figure skating, playing a Bach fugue, drinking boba, or trying to bake something new.

Charlotte Caccam

Charlotte Caccam is a senior at Harvard concentrating in History & Science with a secondary in Economics and citation in American Sign Language. She is a proud resident of Winthrop House but is originally from Jacksonville, Florida. Outside of HMC, Charlotte is involved with Harvard Club Swim, the Harvard Political Review, and is a study coordinator for a sleep research lab at Harvard Medical School. She also enjoys thrifting, hiking, and using her digital camera. This will be her sixth HMC conference overall, and she is beyond excited to meet all the delegates!

Yasmeen Galal

Yasmeen Galal is a junior in Lowell concentrating in Applied Math and Economics. Yasmeen has been a staffer in Harvard Model Congress for 2 years now at over 5 conferences. She is incredibly excited to give back to the HMC community this year! Jack Tueting

Jack Tueting is a senior at Harvard studying Government with a secondary in Folklore and Mythology. This is his third year staffing HMC, which he loves for its commitment to promoting civil discourse and understanding our important political systems. He is very active in politics, both at Harvard where he was President of the Harvard Democrats and is on the Executive Team at the Institute of Politics, and back home, where he works for campaigns and elected officials. He is originally from a small town in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Charlottesville, Virginia, where he loves to spend time with his many sheep, cows, chickens, ducks, donkeys, and dogs.

Uy Pham

Uy Pham is a sophomore in Winthrop House from Orange County, California, currently planning to study government and/or statistics. He’s looking forward to HMC Europe this year, as he served as a delegate and chair for similar conferences in high school. This will be his fourth HMC conference overall. He values the opportunity for delegates to immerse themselves in dynamic conversations about the issues their communities face. In his free time, he enjoys playing and watching soccer, napping, and being Winnie the Pooh’s biggest fan. He looks forward to meeting everyone at this year’s conference and hearing the nuanced perspectives they share!

Christopher Shin

Christopher is a senior at Harvard and a Leverett House resident from Cherry Hill, NJ, double concentrating in Chemical & Physical Biology and Government with a secondary in Music. He is a resident HM-unC as HMCE 2027 will be his 12th HMC conference in college (he indeed has no life). He was the President of HMC-Europe 2026, and was formerly on the boards of HMC-Boston and HMC-Asia. Aside from HMC-endeavors, Chris led the Policy Program at the Harvard Institute of Politics and the Harvard College Piano Society, and loves playing lead trumpet in the Harvard Jazz Orchestra.

Taylor Beljon-Regen

Taylor Beljon-Regen is a sophomore in Leverett House from Los Angeles, California, planning to study Government with a secondary in European History, Politics, and Societies. She is passionate about improving civic education as a way to strengthen bipartisanship in times of polarization. Taylor is thrilled to be a senior staffer this year because she believes strongly in the power of civic engagement and is excited to help delegates create lifelong memories. She has previously staffed HMC Boston, Europe, and San Francisco. She loves watching movies, going to concerts, and leading her friends on adventures through the T around Boston.

Jimmy Merino Guerra

Jimmy is a junior from Boston, Massachusetts in Lowell House studying Economics and Government. At Harvard, he is involved with the Harvard Institute of Politics Research & Strategy Group, Harvard Data Analytics Group, and tutors high school students. He is involved with HMC Boston as the Speaker of the House and previously HMCSF as a Junior Staffer. Outside of Harvard Model Congress, he plays volleyball and goes on runs. Jimmy is looking forward to meeting everyone and facilitating meaningful debate!

Morgan Johnson

Morgan Johnson is a sophomore at Harvard College studying social studies and education with a focus on Native American history. Outside the classroom, he serves as a Case Manager at the Harvard Square Homeless Shelter and helps run CIVICS, a program that brings government lessons into local schools. When not in class or committee, you can find him planning long-distance hikes, learning trivia, or listening to jazz albums.
